Did I really just say that?!

Well, my time is coming to an end at this job.  This will be my last week, so my blog will soon end.  As a grand finale, I will leave you with this story... maybe one of my favorite ones!  But this time, it's not about HIM, it's about ME!  

The student council kiddos brought me an awesome banner / poster that they made for my office to say goodbye.  I was so excited that they all came o present it that I quickly said "I love it.  That's such a nice boner!"  I tried to say banner and poster at the same time and I said "boner!"  HILARIOUS!  You should have seen their faces!

Work Story # 22

A teacher, who we'll call Mrs. Shoester, had made me cookies to thank me for something I had done for her.  He came into my office, so I offered him one of the cookies.  I said, "These are from Mrs. Shoester."  He then said, "That was nice of her" and looked at a student who was sitting at my desk and said, "Oh, thank you for making us cookies!"  The student looked up at me and said, "Did he really think I was Mrs. Shoester?"

My internal dialogue at the moment: It's one thing to not know your teacher's names... It's another to think one of your student's is one of your teachers!  WOW!
